The Director of Sales will use their sales, management, and strategic business skills to build an effective sales team, contribute to strategic planning, and manage marketing functions to increase customer share at current accounts, re-engage lost business, and develop new customers through direct personal sales and management of sales employees, distributors, and reps.

Responsibilities:

20% Revenue Growth YOY
Directly manage and coach sales and marketing employees
Grow the sales team: Recruit, interview, and hire direct sales and marketing employees
Spend substantial time in direct contact with customers in person and via phone/email
US and some international air travel is required. Sales Director will spend up to 50% of the time traveling
Manage and recruit outside representatives and distributors as determined by the company’s sales and growth plan.
Negotiate sales agreements in collaboration with senior management
Contribute to quarterly and annual strategic planning sessions
Lead the creation of marketing materials, managing tradeshows, lead internet marketing, etc.
Conduct product management duties in coordination with engineering, craft unique value propositions of products and services, and seek out blue ocean opportunities
Manage measurement of customer Net Promoter Score (NPS) program on a quarterly basis
Identify new product development opportunities for the organization to explore through direct assessment of customer needs and feedback.
Identify and target specific sales opportunities to spread existing ESP products.
Ownership of CRM system to update and track commercial progress of his or her own sales program to include sales pipeline development and marketing campaign administration
Present sales updates to the senior management team on a monthly basis
Assumes other responsibilities as delegated by management

Qualifications:

7+ years’ experience leading a sales organization serving high-tech manufacturing industries
B.S. in engineering, business, marketing (or equivalent)
Proven track record of strong quota obtainment.
Sound judgment and excellent problem-solving skills.
Focused on delivering sales results
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) proficiency
CRM systems proficiency
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with managing a sales team and have a positive management and coaching style
Self-starter who takes on additional responsibilities without direction.

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience working for semiconductor manufacturing, oil & gas, and/or aerospace companies.
Knowledge and basic understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
Success in leading a sales team selling directly to high-tech manufacturing industries
Formal sales and management training
Rolodex of decision makers within the semiconductor manufacturing, oil & gas and/or aerospace industries is a big plus.
